My thought on ‘Bunda Lisa’

Assalamu’alaikum everyone.
I hope you are doing fine. ๐Ÿ™‚

I didn’t remember when did the last time I read novel, before I found ” Bunda Lisa: Samudra & Angkasa Yang Bernyanyi Memeluk Mimpi” at the Book Store. It was displayed in ‘hidden’ bookshelf, it will need extra effort for you to find the copy of the book, I myself found it coincidentally when I tried to look for some comic books. Although it seems underrated, but ‘Bunda Lisa’ has very great reviewers, starting from Jokowi,Jusuf Kalla to Dian Sastro, I thought I will give it a try.

I started to read it, turns out I have some kind of life changing experience ๐Ÿ˜€
Bunda Lisa is a wife of a reputable Professor in Indonesia. He is a great man and you know, behind every successful man, there is a strong, wise and hardworking woman. That’s the book all about.

She is the biggest supporter of her husband, she’s always there, patiently facing every ups and downs in their family life. They dream together and live it up together.ย
What impressed me so much is how she wanted to do something for her surroundings. She started to build a pre-school from zero, named KUTILANG. She even looked for the students herself. She already has everything, yet she never mind to work hard everyday to educate the kids who mostly come from low income family. Her dream is to make the kids dare to dream, to create creative, thoughtful and better future generation of Indonesia. She lived it, she made it came true, and she does it for FREE. That’s really admirable.

The story actually inspired by real life experience of Bunda Lisa. I was lucky to meet her and visited her school today. I was very awed by how good the school is, how awesome their method of teaching and nurturing the creative mind of the students, how Bunda Lisa being involved with every details.ย
I was a pre-school teacher too,but I’ve never known that there is amazing method of teaching like what KUTILANG has. I bet if the school is opened for commercial purpose, the tuition fee will be very expensive. Thanks to Bunda Lisa for giving the kids a chance to get first class education.

Back to the novel. The author retell the story of Bunda Lisa in very interesting way. His words made me want to keep reading it and easy to understand. I don’t really like the epilogue tho, because it is quite slow, long and somewhat boring , but the rest are okay. Good job,Jombang ๐Ÿ™‚

I recommend you to read it too, you won’t regret it, I promise ๐Ÿ˜€

See you, have a nice weekend ๐Ÿ™‚
